Graphic Designer

Position is located in Portland, Oregon

The Business Link Directory is looking for a Graphic Designer with a creative strong suit in ad layout & design. This is a seasonal, part-time position that may evolve into a full-time position.

The ideal candidate should possess excellent design skills and be highly proficient in Adobe Photoshop CS, Illustrator, InDesign and Acrobat. Applicant must have Windows platform experience. Experience with web design, Version Cue and Visual Source Safe a plus. Other personal skills should include: detail-oriented, deadline-oriented, and the ability to work independently or on a team.

Requirements:

• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite 2, MS Office & Windows
• Creative under pressure
• Self-directed and a fast learner
• Able to work with demanding customers
• Must be able to take constructive criticism and think quickly
• Able to organize and prioritize
• Good people skills
• Experience working with tight deadlines
• 2 yrs+ experience in Graphic Design/Print Design

Key Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will design and develop images and create layouts for a variety of creative projects, brochures, advertisements, posters, media kits, catalogs, direct mail, corporate identify and tradeshows. You will work on the directory layout, manage high volume work flow and track progress on ads and assist in the creation & review of advertising copy. You will also be responsible of collaborating with customers on design and ad approvals.
